PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT & NURSE PRACTITIONER

Has management responsibilities for direct report(s).
-
Provides episodic, preventive, and acute health care to patients.
-
Conducts histories and physical examinations, prescribing medications and/or medical treatments based on best practice standards.
-
Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates and advises on medical issues as needed.
-
Provides referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resources or specialties.
-
Evaluates the effectiveness of medical care and monitors the progress of patients.
-
Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice and as defined by the privileging process.
-
Participates in the development of annual health center goals and objectives.
-
Provides overall responsibility for the care of patients seen in the health care clinic in the absence of the Medical Leader.

May require other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
Graduate of an accredited medical school or nursing program.
-
Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
-
Must have current state and federal DEA certification.
-
Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
-
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
-
Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT
​

Performs clinical tasks such as taking medical histories and measuring vital signs.
-
Assists with diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
-
Maintains accurate patient records and updates Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
-
Educates patients on health management techniques.
-
Ensures the cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
-
Prepares and stocks medical supplies and instruments, assisting in inventory management.
-
Identifies and addresses patient concerns, escalating issues to healthcare providers as needed.
-
Obtains and records insurance information and demographic details from patients.
-
Coordinates with administrative staff to ensure quality patient care.
-
May require other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalency.
-
Medical experience preferred.
-
Must have reliable transportation (traveling required).
-
Spanish speaking is a plus
-
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Greets patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming environment.
-
Manages appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling to optimize provider schedules.
-
Collects and verifies patient information, including insurance details and medical records.
-
Processes patient admissions and discharges efficiently.
-
Handles patient inquiries and provides information about services, policies, and procedures.
-
Maintains accurate records of patient interactions and transactions in the EMR system.
-
Coordinates with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and quality patient care.
-
Manages phone calls, messages, and correspondence in a timely manner.
-
May require other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Spanish speaking is a plus.
-
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is beneficial.
